Tip Calculator

About This Project

Tip Calculator is a cross-platform Flutter application that provides a simple way to calculate a tip and final bill total. Users enter their bill amount and the application instantly calculates a fixed 15% tip and grand total as the input changes. The interface includes animated result updates, currency formatting, a reset option, and a responsive Material Design layout.

TIMELINE

Day 1

Application Foundation

Created the Flutter application structure, calculator screen, bill input field, Material Design interface, and teal-to-blue visual theme.

Day 1

Calculation Logic

Implemented real-time bill parsing, fixed 15% tip calculations, grand total calculations, and currency formatting using the intl package.

Day 2

Interaction and Animation

Added animated result transitions with AnimatedSwitcher and implemented the reset functionality for quickly clearing the calculator.

Day 2

Final Polish

Refined the responsive layout, typography, input styling, result presentation, and overall Flutter user experience.
