About This Project

GitHub User Finder is a React application that allows users to search for public GitHub accounts by username. It connects to the GitHub REST API and displays the matching user’s avatar, name, biography, and a direct link to their GitHub profile. The application also provides loading feedback, input validation, and clear error handling when a user cannot be found.

TIMELINE

Day 1 — Morning

Project Setup and Interface

Created the React and Vite project, designed the search interface, and separated the interface into reusable components.

Day 1 — Afternoon

GitHub API Integration

Connected the application to the GitHub REST API and displayed profile information returned from username searches.

Day 1 — Evening

Validation and Testing

Added loading feedback, empty-input prevention, missing-user error handling, and completed final application testing.
