About This Project
Focus Flow is a full-stack productivity platform designed to help users plan tasks, complete structured focus sessions, and monitor their progress. Users can configure session lengths, define objectives, attach tasks, select background audio, pause or resume active timers, and review completed sessions. The platform also supports secure user accounts, profile management, custom playlists, and persistent cloud storage through AWS.
TIMELINE
Research and Product Design
Defined the productivity workflow, created the interactive Figma prototype, planned the application architecture, and established the visual design system.
Frontend and Authentication Foundation
Built the React application structure, reusable interface components, responsive navigation, account registration, login, and protected routes.
Focus Session Workflow
Implemented session setup, preset and custom durations, objectives, task selection, review steps, and active timer controls.
Tasks and Session Persistence
Connected tasks and focus sessions to cloud storage, added session status updates, and preserved progress across application views.
Audio and Playlist System
Developed audio uploads, background playback, playlist creation, saved audio selections, and AWS file-storage integration.
Profiles and Workflow Refinement
Expanded profile management, improved session completion behavior, corrected task and audio persistence issues, and refined responsive layouts.
Production Testing and Deployment
Completed production testing, resolved AWS integration issues, configured the deployment environment, and released the application through AWS Amplify.
