About This Project
Flick & Chill is an Angular entertainment discovery application powered by The Movie Database API. Users can browse trending and popular movies and television shows, search for titles, explore genres, discover actors, watch trailers, and find streaming, rental, and purchase providers.
TIMELINE
Angular Foundation
Set up the Angular application, reusable navigation, routing structure, SCSS design system, and initial movie and television components.
TMDB API Integration
Created Angular services that retrieve trending titles, popular content, media details, posters, genres, videos, credits, and watch providers from TMDB.
Search and Discovery
Added combined movie and TV search, genre browsing, genre result pages, popular actors, person profiles, and entertainment credits.
Media Details and Final Polish
Completed movie and TV detail pages, embedded YouTube trailers, cast and crew sections, season information, responsive layouts, and server-side rendering support.
